This youth lesson will stay with you forever.

The Mahabharata is a story that most Indians know but I believe it's a story that not most understand. Just like numerous other stories from our Ancient India, the Mahabharata is a series of lessons that are wrapped up as a story.

One of the biggest lessons of the Mahabharata is learnt from the heroes of the story.

The Pandava Brothers

Born to the same mother with the blessing of different Gods, the sons of Gods.

1. Yudhisthira: The Son of the God of death

He was born with the traits of a leader. Born with the ability to do no wrong, to say no lies and above all have a deep understanding of justice and ethics. The cleanest of them all, the king.

2. Bheema: The Son of the God of wind

He was born with super human strength and endurance. Born with the ability to destroy the enemies, the protector of the king and the protector of his brothers.

3. Arjuna: The Son of the God of storms

Born with the ability to focus better and learn faster than any human and destined to become the world's greatest warrior.

4. Nakul and Sahadeva: The Sons of the Gods of medicines

Born with the charm, wit, humility and tolerance and eventually becoming the support system of their three elder brothers.

In the story, due to some unforeseen circumstance, all the five brothers end up marrying the same princess

5. Draupadi : who in turn was the daughter of fire

Born with purity and faith. Eventually she becomes the iconic queen of the Pandavas.

During the course of the story, Draupadi and the Pandavas are made to suffer. They are exiled from their own kingdom and everything they own is taken away from them.

The Mahabharata war is a fight to regain the kingdom. But it's also a reminder for India's future generations that the Mahabharata was the start of the Kalyuga. The age where evil does exist amongst men. No matter how good you are, the evils will exist in this world. But the Mahabharata story is also a reminder that you can overcome the evil. The Pandavas go on on to win the war, the great war against an army much bigger, stronger and powerful than theirs. And this is where the true moral of the story lies.

The six main characters are the representation of the ideal human being.

The ideal human being with these six qualities by their side can overcome every single evil, every single obstacle thats placed in front of them

1. Sahadev's tolerance to overcome difficulties

2. Nakul's self love and confidence to constantly aim higher

3. Arjuna's focus and determination, the driving force of success

4. Bheema's strength: both physical and mental to protect themselves as well as the ones around them

5. Yudhisthira's clean ethics in the most difficult testing situations, the core of the Pandava's victory

and to bind it all

6. Draupadi's faith, the purity and stability because not everything that brings you success is within you. You might be the perfect human being but without faith and positivity, even the perfection of all your traits may fall short

So, remember to work hard throughout your life. Be positive throughout your life but also remember despite all your hard work and positivity, evil does exist in this world. That's the harsh truth of the times that you live in. But no matter, how big or how strong the evil is, it can always be overcome with your best effort and pure faith.

Thanks!

All the best!

Keep Supporting. Keep reading. Keep progressing in life.
