The Placement Paranoma

Indelible Reminiscences: Face it, Live it, Clear it !!!

Hello Friends!! This is my first blog and a solitary effort made by me in the world of blogging. Hope to have a good feedback from you all, as I will try to make it as informal and informative as possible.

So, here it goes. The title may have cleared some of your doubts of what will the next few paragraphs and paraphrases be all about. Yes, you guessed it right!! It's the placement phobia from which every engineering student goes through in his/her college once in a lifetime.

The article is about the placement process that happened a few months back in IIT Kharagpur in the month of December' 2017. I will be taking you on a roller coaster mind-boggling ride that I experienced last year due to this short but poignant adventure, giving you some taste of the campus placements of our college. So, back your seats and leave your pending works for a while :P because it will take you a handful of moments to complete the ride that you will be undergoing now ;)

This article is completely from my point of view. Whatever I saw, felt and experienced. So, Friends let’s get started!!

21st July 2017:

The eventful day on which our final semester in the college was going to be started. Students were returning to the college from all parts of the country from their eventful internships which they undertook a few months back (talking for our batch specifically :P). Some really enjoyed the phase because of a bunch of new friends they made in that time, some new explorations, new learnings and lots of fun with an opportunity of getting an offer from the company they interned (especially those who got really great lucrative offers from the college campus itself) but some looked forward to the upcoming placements in December without bothering much about doing an internship in some huge MNCs. For those who are unaware of the above incident, I would like to elaborate here that the IITian Students have to follow a specific rule mentioned in their curriculum which is all about doing a compulsory internship in the penultimate year of their graduation, which would be added later to their credits and grades.

So, as soon as our final year batch returned to the campus before the commencement of the classes (except a few who were still enjoying the fascinating life in US/Europe as a part of their foreign training :P) we all were still guessing a lot on the know-how of our fate after 6 months. Would we be getting some good news? Would somebody hire us also in their firm paying some hefty amounts? This was all going on in our mind making us more eager and anxious for the upcoming placements.

Few days rolled by!! We attended our classes, missed a few :P and discussed the same crap over and over again until we got notified about it from the online portal of our college (also known as ERP)

1st week of August (unable to remember the exact dates though :P)

Finally, we got an official notice from the ERP about filling our resumes limiting it to a single page online stating all the good or bad activities we had done through the last 4 years of life in the campus (not necessarily the bad part :P). The total time allotted was about 15 days and all of a sudden in a complete hotchpotch we started to contact our immediate seniors who graduated last year asking pieces of advice, suggestions, their valuable time and if possible their CV too. Some were very kind to contact their batchmates also. Normally what generally happens is that no one really bothers much to share their time and most importantly their CV until and unless they are really good friends or non-competitors for the placements. So, we all filled our CVs online in an organized template provided by our college. The most problematic situation was to prepare 3 different CVs for all possible companies that would be coming later on. The candidates who had possibly acquired a lot of skills and stuffs before got sorted out quickly but for the candidates who had done a little for their CVs during the sophomore period had only one option left which was CtrlC+CtrlV.

Moreover, the companies which were targeted by most of the students lies majorly in 5 chunks which includes coding, data science, consulting, finance and core (seen rarely for some departments) fields. So, we had prepared to prepare accordingly.

Now, these incidents happened to most of the students including me. The above-mentioned instances generalized the whole scene IIT Kharagpur Final year students. The further story would be from my point of view what I personally faced and experienced including excerpts and experiences of some of my friends too.

During the 63rd Convocation of IIT Kharagpur

We all were roaming on the streets enjoying the upcoming convocation vibe at that time. Yeah!! let me tell you, fortunately, I belong to the most questionable department of our campus which is known by the name of Civil Engineering in which, if we try to switch accidentally or knowingly to some other sector other than our remarkable Core field then we are bombarded with all kinds of unproductive and frivolous questions of all times by every person we share our technical life with during our college time.

So, where were we? Yeah, I and some of my civil batchmates were roaming on the campus streets without thinking much about our upcoming fate till we get a chance to meet any graduated senior for some face to face suggestions and practical advices. I was the member of the departmental fest of our college known as "Megalith”. Being a member of my departmental fest was really worth for me. You will get to know it why? Very soon, I received a call from some of my friends that our Megalith seniors have arrived on the campus for the convocation and they all wanted to meet us. The clock struck 12 in the midnight when I arrived at the Veggies (the most loved spot for the students during night time because of the chai sutta combinations) where all my other friends had already arrived. We greeted our seniors, had some fun conversations regarding the fest and department. Then we arrived at that point in the discussion for which we all final year guys were waiting for. Yeah!! Lots of questions from our side, from every possible member who was present there regarding the oncoming campus placements. And our beloved seniors answered it very patiently. Believe me very logically and patiently!! All sorts of philosophical, practical and motivating words were all we got to hear from them. And it was really nice of them that they chose to invest a great chunk of their total time on advising and suggesting us.

But how could I forget that particular day!! The very next day I got a call from one of the most beloved and logical senior most person of our department (keeping him anonymous here :P) and he asked me to inform all the students, that he would be giving a session on a detailed analysis and insights of the placement period. I was on cloud nine. Not because he chose me out of everyone to collect the students, but because we would be getting some grueling inside tricks so that we won't be repeating the common mistakes which have a tendency of getting overlooked.

The convocation ended up in the morning time. Every graduated senior was busy making a variety of poses for the selfies and pictures along with their families and friends. The usual tradition of throwing their degree up and away was seen near the main building of our college. Those memories were really gold and all were being caught up in the lovely cameras to cherish it for the lifetime. We were just smiling seeing all their happy faces. At night, I did the work assigned to me earlier this morning. I told all my friends regarding the funda session. Some of my friends were really surprised and excited about it as they affirmed about the session and slowly and gradually there were about 10 people in my room that day including our senior too. Some friends who were unsure about their Pre Placement Offer also had to come as they couldn't afford to miss that opportunity. At the start of the session, we were made to sit in a group as told by our senior. An informal mock Group Discussion was what planned by him. Cool enough!! We were given a topic on "Use of data science in pharma companies" and we started our discussion. Got really great points from some of our friends and tried to put forward our own points also. After the conclusion of a fruitful 20-minute discussion (at least according to me), our senior helped us with the positive and lagging points on which we need to work in those 4 months to get us updated and improved. After that, we got some really detailed and elaborate analysis of every possible pros and cons we could expect on our way ahead. Listing every minute detail will make this article really stretched out. Therefore briefly, I would tell that it was a session full of advice, suggestions we need to follow for all the companies, the detailed analysis and preparation strategy for all major companies coming on phase 1, list of all sources, the common mistakes which must be avoided, some really cool tricks for interviews and test and most importantly how to keep calm and be motivated despite of rejections and failures during those few days. I filled up almost 9-10 pages listing all the things which he pointed out. The point is that in their time the placements were not up to the mark as expected to the standard of IITs. So he was really kind enough to share it with all of us so that we don't repeat it in our time. The session ended and we took a parting selfie with him to remember the time and energy he invested to help us, motivate us for our placements.

Time was rolling by quickly before we were able to realize much!! As usual, we had to manage literally everything starting from our academics, tests, exams, company interview and test preparation to the fest and other activities with a decent relaxing time also.

August Ended with our final CVs being locked in the ERP Portal!! I was fortunate enough to get sufficient material and stuffs to make 3 different CVs for applying in all possible companies (core, consulting and technical).

September too ended in real quick succession!! with the first half of the month used up in the Mid-semester Preparations and the second half spent in fun and enjoyment with my friends before going to our home in DurgaPuja because the real game was going to be started after the vacations. Few stayed in the campus itself to give time to the preparations. But I preferred going home to get a bit refreshed for the oncoming 2 months which may prove to be a havoc for us. Who knows, it may actually be!!

October Arrived and all kinds of festivals too. I ended up enjoying the Puja Vacations for the starting few days but simultaneously was preparing also. The vacations of 7 days also ended up in no time and we all returned to our campus in the second week of the month. The game had already begun. We got the schedule of the written test of major companies held in the next couple of weeks. The likes of companies like Capital One, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and few more were included in that schedule.

So, the preparation was majorly on to improve our speed and accuracy on the aptitude questions. The aptitude questions were majorly the CAT/MBA questions divided into Quantitative (Maths), Data Interpretation/Logical Reasoning, and Verbal (English) portions. Trying to score the maximum score in those questions was the strategy to qualify the written round for most of the companies. Besides those questions one should also be proficient in Programming and Data Structures because in our time mostly good companies (The tag "Good" is given according to the package they offer compared to others) were giving aptitude questions along with few coding questions (Not of computer science level, but of the level we all read in our fresher year). Leaving all that aside, some really great companies were giving good coding and Machine learning problems, which actually required a good amount of exposure and practice in that field. As time flew by gradually, all the company tests also got over and we were left to wait for the results and with a lot of hope of getting selected because of the hard work done since last two months by each and every student. Now, it was only left to find out which student had put an extra effort into all these things.

Meanwhile, November arrived, ending the major companies written round in the second week with the arrival of End-semester exams near the corner. We started preparing for it with half-hearted mind and gave the exams anyhow. And in no time, the end semesters also finished and we were finally at that phase, at that path for which we were waiting for, from the beginning of the semester.

The results and the interview results were out!! Some were really disappointed and some were really elated. But overlooking the past, we started preparing really hard for the remaining companies. I was also disappointed by some results. But what to do. It's 60-70% of your hard work and 30-40% depends on your luck, how's the day going to be for you at that time. Some students were selected for about 5-6 company interviews on the starting day of placement which we call as Day1. I was selected for some companies as well but unfortunately, that didn't fall on day1. So, I got some more time for brush ups and revisions, a blessing in disguise for me indirectly, I can say :P

December 1' 2017 (DAY1) [Placements 2017-18]

Nothing much to say in particular because I wasn't shortlisted in any of the companies on this day. But yeah!! some of my Civil friends (some prodigy minds !!) were selected in 5-6 companies as I mentioned above and I was pretty much confident that they are going to wrap up things today itself with some hefty packages. As result, I ended up congratulating them and remembered how I prepared with them during the last few months. They ended up in really great companies like Goldman Sachs, Mercari Japan and JP Morgan with really awesome packages and profiles for which I used to dream from my 3rd year. But no worries!! This was just the beginning. I held my confidence high and with that confidence, I looked forward to the coming days. Fortunately, I got to hear some good news. I was shortlisted in 3-4 companies. So, I was going to be packed for next 3 days at least. And the first of them was the largest E-commerce Indian Startup "Flipkart" (at least until a few weeks back before Walmart bought it!!) for a group discussion later that night.

December 2' 2017 (12.01 AM) (DAY2) [Placements 2017-18]

I along with my friends arrived at the Nalanda Complex for the GD round (Nalanda Complex happened to be our classroom venue for the normal working days, but it turned out to be the spot which contained a lot of placement memories and emotions on those placement days). We waited for a long time. Some interviews were also going on simultaneously in some other rooms, which we noticed over there. Seeing the number of people who had come for the GD Round, we were really in an agony, lamenting whether it was a right choice to come for the GD in that shivering cold night pedaling our cycles all the way from our hostels to the venue. My one friend told "Wapas katne waala hai iss company mai bhi" (We won't be able to make it through). I made him shut and we all went to the GD room finally. 15-18 people for a GD!!! Are You Kidding Me!! Seriously if this was the scenario at the start, don't know what’s going to happen in the next couple of moments. We were made to sit on the benches and allotted a particular number so that it would be easy for the judges to note down the marks accordingly. After that, the topic was given. I don't remember the topic exactly but it was somewhat related to e-commerce companies and the strategies to make their services better. And then the great souls who had some great ideas and command over their communication in English started off the GD right away. I was busy cursing them along with my fate in between of thinking some points. Not getting an opportunity of saying anything and being muted for the whole discussion round, I was given the opportunity to say at last to convey my points. And finally, I presented some really good 2-3 points which I guess concluded the discussions. Ultimately, this ended our insignificant and unproductive discussion from which made it pretty sure for me of getting rejected. I thought let it be, let's go and sleep peacefully so that next morning I could wake up quickly and prepare for the next company i.e. OLA. That was the night I didn't want to remember much about.

At around 2 AM, I reached my hostel room and slept forgetting what all happened in the last 2 hours. Meanwhile, my father called me and I asked him to wake me up early next morning. I was fast asleep soon enjoying my dreams but suddenly had to wake up from a loud mobile beep. I remembered I gave an alarm to wake up around 7-8 am. But it was only 5 am, so I checked my mobile and noticed that my father had been ringing me for last 15 minutes. I called him back to know what's the matter going on. To my surprise, he informed me that I had been selected for the Flipkart interview round for the Business Analyst Profile. This was a complete utter surprise news for me early in the morning. Completely unexpected. But the next thing that came to my mind was I had to get ready by 6 am and reach the venue as the interviews were scheduled at 6 am. I didn't have the blazer. I didn't consider blazer as a necessary commodity until somebody told me that every student has worn a blazer for their interviews on day1. So, I rushed to one of my friend's room after getting freshened up. He was enjoying a peaceful sleep in his room after getting a really good recruitment on 1st day itself. But my constant beatings on his room's door woke him up and he was kind enough to lend me his blazer without questioning much because I was already getting late. I borrowed his cycle too and went as quickly as possible to the Nalanda Complex. Thereafter I noticed some of my other friends who were selected for Flipkart had also reached on time. This was the first time I had reached somewhere before the time for something really important unlike my usual semester classes in the same venue which I used to attend in the last few months. I waited near the room where the company's recruiters and interviewers were going to come for taking the interview.

It was about 7.30 AM. My wait was a little longer than expected. I waited for about more than an hour revising some useful last minute things along with my friends. At last, they arrived and the placement coordinator greeted them. They were given the details of the rooms and list of students. The process started finally and students were being called for both Business Analyst profile and Corporate Finance Profile. I was there for the former one. I was sitting impatiently outside on a chair with a sense of nervousness within me, waiting for my turn and simultaneously revising my CV and discussing puzzles with my friends. One by one the students who got interviewed for round 1 were coming out and informing us about all possible questions they were asking. After hearing them I was a kind of relieved because I thought the ball was on my court. The questions ought to be from those fields in which I was strong and prepared. Still quite impatiently knowing their questions, I again sat on my chair waiting for my turn. I saw the list of students and unfortunately, my name was near the end of the list. This made me more pissed off. There were people who completed the round 2 of their interview also and I was there sitting idly and thinking on when will my turn come. My parents also called me to know the status and I informed them of the same scenario which was going on with me at that time. Some of my friends got interviewed and were sitting relaxed with a smiling face because their interviews went quite well. They supported me and motivated me to think positive.

Finally, it was 11 AM, and I was still there outside without any food and breakfast. Finally, my name was called and I went inside taking my CV. The interviewers were really friendly, I introduced them to me and my profile. They praised my CV and told me that it's a perfect data science CV for any company. They asked some questions on my CV and I answered them perfectly. They asked me to explain and elaborate on my internships and projects, the algorithm used and the mathematics behind the scenes, which was very well defended by me. Furthermore, they asked me a probability question, which I took time but gave the correct answer ultimately. They were a little reluctant seeing the amount of time I was taking for that question. They asked me few puzzles. I answered some and honestly replied by nodding that I am not aware of the solutions of other questions. They asked some really tough technical questions from time series seeing that subject mentioned in my CV. Again I was able to answer it partially and they were not completely satisfied. So, they asked me to mention “beginner word” in the CV along with the relevant course I had done if I am not through and familiar with those subjects. That made me really desolate and dejected towards the end of the interview. Still unsure on what's going to happen next, the interviewers ended my interview and wished me all the best for future. I got an indication from there on that this was the end of my interview in Flipkart and they had already rejected me. After coming out, there were few more interviews and at last the candidates who were selected were informed through our placement coordinator. Of course, my name wasn't there. And why would it be, I hadn't performed up to the mark and I deserve to get rejected. All of my friends were really happy and I congratulated them and in return, they wished me luck for the oncoming interview of Ola in the afternoon.

It was 12 in the noon and I went to my room with a gloomy face. With a quite miserable environment, I ordered my lunch and ate it so that I could rush back again for my Ola Interview. I rested for a while and sharp at 1.50 pm I took the bicycle and rushed back to the venue. My interview was at 2pm. This time I was alone waiting outside for the interview. With a scorching heat of the sun in the afternoon and my blazers on, I was sweating out because of both environment and nervousness within me. Nobody has reached the venue yet. I waited outside. Some students appeared coming and they also joined me to wait for the interviewers. This time there was a different placement coordinator and he informed me that interviewers had already arrived and they would be coming in few minutes. Finally, they arrived and they were intimated all the necessary details of students and the rooms. The first student went in. He came out after about 1 hour. I was really nervous and confused about what they are asking inside that it took so long for him to come out. The second student was called but I got to know he was present downstairs for the interview in Barclays. Next name was mine. My legs and hands were shaking as I took my file of CVs and went inside the room. The interviewers greeted me and I greeted them with a smile as well. There were one middle-aged man and a young lady sitting and they asked me to have a seat as well. I wished them afternoon and to make me comfortable they started off with some informal random questions on Kharagpur and our campus, about me and my hometown etc. The first 5-7 minutes went on like this and I got a little confident as my nervousness faded away gradually. The next 15 minutes were about my CV and I answered them confidently without any hesitation and moreover giving them some extra information also to make a good impression in front of them. Now about 20-22 minutes had passed and the next hurdle was a case given by them. Next 30 minutes discussion was completely a case discussion (case interview) on a problem related to the company basically to judge my problem-solving approach. I discussed with them quite confidently and freely, presented some good ideas, some general ideas and some out of the box suggestions too. This was quite a fruitful case discussion for me and I was able to tackle it because I got familiarized with a very similar case the previous day during my preparation. After the case discussion, they focused on guesstimates. They asked me to find out the number of people in KGP who wore a red cloth at any particular time. I used probability approach with some logical approximate numbers and calculated the results in front of them. Though not great but it was satisfactory for them. They asked me a puzzle also to check my thinking and analytical approach and to my great luck, it was from the same book I already had done most of the questions from. So, I answered it quite comfortably. This took another 20 minutes to get over. Finally, they asked me if I had any questions for them. So, I asked them 2 questions which I already had prepared for every company. And they were really happy answering both. They further explained the works done in the company and the role of a Management Trainee for which I was being interviewed. I was really positive and hopeful when they wished me luck after my interview got over. And further, I got the flavor of why it takes so much time in the interview. So, my interview took about 1 hour 15 minutes and it seemed like it got over in no time due to the discussions going on so smoothly inside the room. As soon as I got out of the room I was just praying God to do something positive from now on as the interview went well. One of my good friend who got placed in Flipkart earlier in the morning suddenly appeared from nowhere and begun advising me on my sitting postures in the interview. I nodded him and we were just discussing more on it but in the meanwhile, a good looking lady came out from another room and shouted my name. I raised my hand and she asked me to come with her. I followed her and suddenly out of nowhere, I was in the middle of an HR round and probably the last round because there were no more interviewers apart the 3 of them who came for the interview. So, I sat there keeping my cool again and in the proper posture as my friend suggested a couple of minutes ago. The HR introduced about herself and kept asking the general questions on the profile. Why Ola? Why You? my hobbies, my passions and some more informal questions on my daily life. I was so engrossed in the discussion that I wasn't able to realize that we talked for about 30 minutes and finally the moment I was waiting for so long. She informed me that they are happy to accept me as a part of their organization and I am accepted as a part of their company. I can't express how elated I was at that time. The feeling was exactly as if somebody is enjoying a long-awaited first rainfall in a drought-prone area. And then I actually realized how it feels to be on cloud nine. The feeling of getting an offer, getting a recruitment from the campus is altogether a different and memorable feeling which I suggest everyone should live and face it once. I hugged my friends who were waiting outside and we roamed around the whole classroom complex out of a feeling of contentment and blissful happiness. I realized few things at that moment. First of all is the feeling of getting placed is something completely different and on some next level, the second thing I realized that Nalanda is really huge. I got to explore it completely on that day :P I went to some of my friends and wished them good luck who were waiting for their interviews, spent some more time there informing my good friends and parents by calling them and they were certainly really happy on hearing about it. Finally ending all the chaos and controlling my excitement, I went to my hall and all my friends congratulated me thereafter. The traditional congratulatory thing went for the whole day and I decided to help my other friends also in this period of tough times and motivate them for the oncoming interviews. The day ended on a happy note as my name came on the list of placed students at the end of the day. I will always be thankful to my family and friends for all the motivational support throughout the process. By the way, I slept quite late or you can say I didn't sleep the whole night.

December 3-4' 2017  (DAY 3&4) [Placements 2017-18]

There is a friend of mine from my department and we happened to live in the same wing of my hall. He is a person with a lot of caliber and talent but still due to certain circumstances he wasn't able to make it till then. I asked him to not lose hope because every time you get rejected, you are being redirected to something better and in that case, it was the best. During Day3, He got shortlisted in 2 companies (both were very good data science companies) and his interview went really well in both the companies and he was really happy with a hope of getting selected in at least either of them. I would like to mention one thing here. Despite every odd he faced, especially in the command over English and communication, he rose really well and proved the best out of him. Hats off to him for that. So, as you know sometimes expectations hurts very badly, it happened to him also. He wasn't selected in either of them may be due to some dirty politics happened during that time. He wasn't given the subtle preference and thereby rejected in spite of his so wonderful interviews. He came back dejected and we all told him not to worry now, day4 would be a memorable day for you. The best company of data science will be coming and it will surely respect your caliber and you will make it through. We helped him with the HR questions and CV preparation that night. Altogether a grueling mock preparation made him stronger and confident. At last, we wished him all the best before going for the interview. It was the evening time, no news from him. He gave a grueling three hours interview with an all total of 3 rounds (both technical and HR interview) that was toughest of all. Still, he was waiting for the result outside and we were waiting at "Tikka" (our usual evening tea spot) for him to give some good news. He called finally and guess what? He got selected!!! There it was, the perfect result for the perfect talent. He came back with quite a big smile, a cheerful, contented and delighted mind, narrated his whole interview saga gasping heavy breaths due to both pain and happiness which had brought shining colors for him finally. We all were happy because most of our friends were placed. Then I finally told him "Tujhe Jo mila best hi mila. Jo hota hai best hi hota hai" (You got the best. Whatever happens in life happens for the best). The day ended with a lot of smiles and a contented stomach fulfilling dinner.

December 5-8' 2017  (DAY 5-8) [Placements 2017-18]

In a similar fashion, I helped all my friends in whatever way possible and the best thing was most of our friends got placed within those 8 days only. Really thankful to the God for making the placement session a blessing for all the students of our batch, especially our civil batch who got a relief from the criticism they had to handle from all other departments. The average went more than 15LPA for our department with almost everybody getting placed who sat for the placements and this was a sense of achievement and delight for all of us.

The Conclusion and The Journey Afterwards

The day15 marked the end of placement session 2017-18 with our college recording one of the highest numbers and figures ever achieved. Same goes for our civil batch also. Nobody gave up and everybody did their part of hard work and achieved what they deserved.

Some students of our department got placed with their extreme patience, hard work and perseverance in phase2 of the placements in PSUs with hefty packages held in the month of March making our placed student percentage more than 90 (rest 10% people were more inclined to higher studies, UPSC and MBA). I would like to mention one surprising fact at this point. We had some real gems in our department on whom I can confidently rely upon. The people who didn't sit in the placement process also got to some amazing places. Two people opted for masters in the beginning but as a result, only one is going for masters in Computer Science in University of Chicago (QS World Ranking 9) and one has also got a job in US of worth 100k US Dollars which is a dream for any IITian. Some are devoted for UPSC and they are also expected to make it through this year with their consistent hard work and perseverance. So, it's not that a student would lag behind others provided just because he/she doesn't go for campus placements. There are lots and lots of opportunities in everyone's life. This marked a new beginning in everyone's life. In the oncoming semester, we enjoyed a lot with absolutely a carefree mind, organized department trips to different locations in North-East India throughout our semester and this was really the most amazing period of my life where you are pressurized for absolutely nothing. All you have to do is to just enjoy the next 4 months with your friends and make some unforgettable memories to cherish it throughout the life.

Motivation

Without saying much now, I will like to take leave and bid goodbye to everyone and wishing all the students the very best for their upcoming placement session. I hope these experiences would contribute to your cause of decreasing the fright you might be having for it and increasing your excitement for your preparations, tests, and interviews. The worry is good but overthinking is dangerous because everyone gets their share ultimately with a reward for their hard work. And if you think you haven't got what you have thought of, then my friend this is just the beginning, the whole life is waiting for you. You will be able to achieve your goals at some point in the life with proper strategies and elder's guidance.
Let life happen first at the beginning. Enjoy this phase as it won't come again ever.

P.S: Remember to choose your field of interest carefully because there is common saying that "Working hard for something hard we don't care about is called stress; Working hard for something we love is called passion."

P.P.S: Meanwhile in the process, don’t get panicked, stay calm and composed even if you have to face certain rejections because this is just a part of life. There are countless opportunities you will get even if you don't get success in the first step. Remember one thing, just keep on trying !!! Because this always holds true “Every time You think you were being rejected from something good, You were actually being re-directed to something better.”

Disclaimer: All information is cent percent correct !! :P
Till then, Goodbye, See you soon in some other roller coaster mind-boggling journey
Work hard !! Keep smiling
Good luck !! :)

  1. I think that carefree mind in final sem is the main reason behind this kind of detailed and informative blog. I am able to see so many great writers in our department. This blog is the perfect example of that greatness.
I am sure it will be helpful for our juniors and all the people preparing for placement from other IITs as well.
